Pretty interesting racing on Saturday. I thought the RC did a great job with the starting line and courses. We kind of sucked--poor starts, poor sail handling. We went out with 5 crew when 2 of my crew members had to bail out due to health issues. Both of my headsail trimmers were slightly disabled, so our tacks were slow and painful. We did without someone in the pit and at the mast, so hoists and douses were a fiasco. In the process we tore a nice sized hole in my favorite kite.

At the end of the day we were beat and beat up, but it was worth the effort. Congratulations to George and his Shameless crew for showing us how to race. I predict Elusive will be a force to be reckoned with--not a bad showing for a new boat. And I thought Joan did great on a borrowed boat.

I saw Ed Durbin bash Stinkeye pretty hard at the weather mark. Jonathan, everyone OK on your boat?

This was likely my first and last race with the fleet for this summer season. Hope you guys enjoy great success.
