Personally, I would rather not have a piece of nylon flapping away in my ear on a windy day (they do get loud).

Actually back in the day I remember all the boats having a single letter before thier sail number which designated the YRA class to which they belonged, our old number was P 293 which designated our HDA class or whatever it was back in the 70s. We could probably just put an SF above the sail numbers on either side which would designate the fleet boats eliminating the need for a piece of nylon or whatever flapping away in your ear all day...

The cost of four stick on numbers would be minimal and eliminate the need for setting a signal flag all the time.

Svends has those stick on Laser numbers which are blocks which can be cut out to form any number; a set of four is $8, or $16 if we wanted SF over 30... Received on Thu Nov 29 10:06:03 2001
