Alan

I am also sorry for your anger. I planned on attending the meeting per your last email. After I and the crew finish putting the boat away, I walked around the upper and lower deck looking for familiar faces and did not find the few I know. It was my understanding the meeting was to take place on the lower deck. It was not until later I turned the corner of the upper deck and HELLO a sign on a door. The room was empty. So much for a meeting.

I intend to do the Metro races, the EYC season openers to Point Bonited, the Light Ship, and a few of the tour races, Three Island/Bridges and Vallejo, since my new crew likes them.

The racing was fantastic. I and the crew had a blast. The first race we were right in the pack. The second and third race our spinnaker work went to hell. Need to make a retraceable spreader so the spinnaker does not get caught. In the third start, I had an issue with a barging boat which I gave way and let pass. I did not think crunched fiberglass would not add to the fun factor. I choose not to protest, ( Fun Factor), and thought possibly the boat will do it turns.

It was great to have five J-30's on the line and trade places with them around the course. This help refine the sail trim on leads and sail position.

That red Tartan 10 can really climb to windward. On one start she was way below me and I had Preparation -J on my hip. I was beginning to pull away from Ron when this red think looms up and gives me all this wonderful air. Needless to say Ron helped me by sitting on top of me . I could see him grinning (devilish).

Anyway, the club and race committee did a first rate job. It was a blast and could not ask for better conditions once the wind came up.

Tony
