Well, I'm stunned. I got 14 responses to my web form in
about 24 hours. I figured I'd get 14-16 in three weeks.
I think the general trends are clear, and while anyone else who wants to fill out the form is welcome to, I'm just posting a summary now, and my proposal. You can see it on the web at this URL.

The gaping holes are:
1.) I need help or guidance in how to set up an HDA season, as I've not a clue how to even begin.
2.) The "Tour" series has two very popular races, the Big Daddy and the OYRA Lightship race, scheduled in the same month. Yet there's also a clear mandate from a lot of you that you don't want more than one race a month. What do we do about that?
3.) There'a huge gap in the Tour Series. No event I listed that is scheduled between the Vallejo Race in May and the Jazz Cup at the end of August got more than two votes. I made up a "three-handed to Half Moon Bay race" out of whole cloth which might be fun, but I need to hear back from people about what they want. It seems very strange to me to not have any racing going on during the peak months of summer, but maybe that's what people want. Of course, the HDA season will be going on, hot and heavy, then..
I'm looking forward to the second round of feedback. Once that's in, I'll make some executive decisions, fire it off to bill the Webmaster, and we'll have a season!
