Well, the response to Bob's proposal re: putting together a
shorthanded series for the 30's seems to have met with a
gigantic yawn, so....
News on Wisdom in the yard... SF Boatworks finally dropped the keel when a gallon of salty water dumped on the workman's head when he pulled the head discharge through-hull fitting out of the boat. That made the yard manager suspicious, and I'm glad they did it as there's absolutely massive delamination around the first keelbolt hole. An area about the volume of my fist has turned into sandwich bread, and a tug on it with a screwdriver pulled the gelcoat away from the laminate for an area about six inches wide and eight inches long around the destroyed area. NOT good....so this will necessitate some serious repairs.
Ah well. I'd use four letter words, but that's not polite in e-mail. Received on Wed Jul 11 09:30:01 2001
