Bad news on ocean racing

Sorry to say, but appears our friends on the Laser 28 had trouble out in the ocean. Check out this excerpt from today's letronic latitude

"It was like Viet Nam out there," reports Latitude Racing Editor Rob Moore,
who did this weekend's Coastal Cup Race from San Francisco to Ventura.
"There were seven DNFs out of a fleet of 29, including dismastings of an
Express 27 and a Laser 28, a broken boom on a Santa Cruz 50, and steering problems on a Santana 40.

This sobering news after the dismasting/grounding on the Spinnaker Cup/Monterey race (see June 7th lectronic latitude).

No word yet from my brother Matt on the J-35 Strat Cat Blues.
