I have been talking with the PRO of the Big Daddy and he is very much aware of our desire for a separate start. Please get your entries in early and we will carry more weight.
We will be Div E (he thinks) on the second of two course areas near the Circle. The new starting system will be used, so study up. An example can be found on the RYC website. The system calls for a warning (class flag) at five minutes, preparatory (P flag) at four minutes. Drop preparatory at one minute. Start at drop of warning. No flags flying at start. I have used the system during the Finn Olympic trials, and it works well, and can save time if the committee has to move a starting mark or the like. It can save postponements, since the countdown doesn't start for a class until a warning for that class is posted. I understand the YRA plans to use it this summer. It is possible that SI's for Big Daddy will be on the website later this week, but be sure you check and double check Friday night and Sat morning for the final issue
See you there..
