Steve, I doubt it. Maybe 5 would get you a separate division finish in a mixed start, though. I would expect at least 10 of us, and would like even more. This is the first of the counters, and if the fleet isn't strong in the beginning it will not be strong at the end of the season. We've now got a great mix of boats, with enough sister ships so that almost everyone has an identical or near identical boat to compete against. As I think about it, only Takeoff doesn't have a sparring mate.
I've signed up for the Big Daddy but don't yet have my new PHRF certificate to send in. Everyone should be aware that it may take a while after you sign up for YRA to get your new certificates, so plan ahead!
I spent part of this last rainy weekend cleaning up the boat, repairing the gelcoat dings, recalking some stuff and cleaning up the Plexiglas ports (what a difference it makes). I'm definitely looking forward to this sailing season with you guys.
Bob
