Hi all,
BBOD is now 2 days away! We will be running 3 courses this weekend. This year we expect a strong fleet of Lasers as well as a fleet of Europes, 505s ACATS, Hobie 16 and Hobie 18s. We may have Optis as well and we will accommodate the oddball in a Portsmouth fleet.

This year we have a couple Miami Race Week veterans who will act as PROs on 2 different courses. We have been meeting regularly to make sure the event goes smoothly with lots of racing.

The forecast is again looking golden, with a low pressure system starting to push down from Alaska. We are currently looking at 15 to 20 on Saturday and 10 to 15 on Sunday.

On Saturday evening, we will have one dollar Rum and Pineapple drinks until they're gone. (be careful) On Sunday morning, we will be serving a pancake breakfast for 3 bucks.

If you haven't signed up to come, please give it a second look. We will have some great racing on the bay and look forward to the outstanding competition. 2 of the competitors from District 6 Champs went on to win youth gold medals at Worlds this year (Luke Ramsey and Claire Dennis). We like to think it was due to the elixir of Bellingham Bay (and their phenominal training programs).

See you Saturday.. Registration at 8, Skippers meeting at 9:30.

Thanks

Mike Poulos
