Need help to evaluate Laser Hall

Old sailor with recently acquired new Vanguard Laser enjoying sailing on Skunk Bay and Admiralty Inlet. I have recently received second laser hull PSL 874910778, as a "gift" from crewmember on my other boat. To my surprise it came without any parts. I had hoped to rig it with smaller sail for grandchildren (?4.7).

On my uninformed inspection the deck is soft in several places and has two inspection ports suggesting prior problems and repair: one just aft of the mast and one on the starboard side near aft end of cockpit. There are cracks in the gellcoat at the aft end of the cockpit on the port side.

The only extra parts I have are a radial sail and mast section.

I suspect that between the cost of hull repair and acquisition of necessary parts I would be better off putting the money into a reasonable used boat. Can someone suggest someone who might advise me on this situation? I have a trailer to haul the hull to have someone look at it. If my assessment is correct is the hull of any use to anyone? My wife is looking forward to getting it out of the garage.
