Greetings from your northern neighbors in Bellingham.
We have been dutifully showing up Tuesday evenings to
hone our skills on the water. Numbers have been at
around 10 or so on average for the Laser class. There
are a lot of individuals who still crave an
inexpensive Laser to become part of the fleet... Over
all, things are very positive.
The Bellingham Bay One Design Regatta is fast approaching. We are very much looking forward to the opportunity to race with folks from Seattle/ Vancouver/ Portland. Our goal is to establish Bellingham as an in between point for Canada and points South. I am discussing the possibility of holding the 2006 District 6 Grand Prix Regatta here next year. This might make it more appealing to folks from Seattle who don't want to spend 600 dollars on gas.. Please support our venue by registering for the BBOD. It is a paltry 25 bucks before 09-01 and this includes lunch.. Such a deal.. First prize is a dream date with David Hasslehoff.. (Kidding) I'm sure you're dissapointed. We actually do have Samson Rope as a sponsor and they will be providing fabulous gift certificates as prizes...
