Hi to all Laser sailors.
I just received an email from Fraser Pearce, the sailing director at the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club. It seems as though after consulting with regatta co-chair, Frank Turnbull, Fraser has decided to move the Canadian National Laser Championships to English Bay from Squamish. The primary reason for this was the uncertainty about securing the boat launch ramp in time for the regatta and they want to be able to put out an NOR ASAP. Another factor was the inability to secure another launch site. If you want more information, please email me and I will pass along any information that I can give to sailors. Fraser has given me some rough times and schedule for events. The dates, July 22 to 25, 2004, remain the same. Some sailors will be upset but they made the decision in the best interest of having a regatta.
