Seattle Laser Fleet News - May 25, 2001 - update for interested Laser sailors who do not belong to the Seattle Laser Fleet.
Good turnout at CYC Thursday nights - over 23 Laser's at last evening's

CYC Laser racing will continue on Thursdays. There has been interest in having racing/sailing practice at other times as well, e.g. Sunday afternoons and/or another night during the week. This is a reminder that the 2001 Canadian National Laser Championships are
fast approaching. This event will be held at the Jericho Sailing Centre
on July 6 - 9, 2001. Pre-registration deadline is June 15, 2001. There
will be registration forms available at the Jericho Classic (June 2 and 3,
2001). Cheques and cash will be collected at that time. For more
information, please email Andy Hunt at: athunt@vcn.bc.ca. I hope to get a
better idea of how many sailors will be attending the Nationals. A
notice of race can be found on the JSCA website: www.jsca.bc.ca or on the
Laser website: www.laser.org.

The Seattle Laser Fleet offers events, e.g. clinics, racing, seminars. In order to participate we require that all members of the Seattle Laser Fleet sign the follow release.
RELEASE for participation in SLF (Seattle Laser Fleet) Events.
I ________________________(or I the parent or legal guardian of, if aminor)(Refered to collectively and individually hereafter as "Event Participant".:
To induce the Seattle Laser Fleet, its President, executives, and members; collectively and individually referred to hereafter as "Event Organizers," to enroll and participate in the Event Organizers' events, clinics, racing, and related activities.
Occasionally, sailboat sailing and/or racing has resulted in injury or loss of life. All participants in Event Organizers' events participate at their own risk.
I, Clinic Participant, hereby release the Event Organizers and agree to hold the Event Organizers harmless from any claims for injuries or damages suffered as a result of negligence of the Event Organizers and accept full responsibility of the cost of treatment for any injury suffered while participating in the Event Organizers' events or associated activities or in transit to or from said event or activities.
I acknowledge that there is a risk of injury inherent in sailing and accept the risk as a clinic participant or in their behalf (if parent or guardian). The term of this agreement shall be one year from signing, unless terminated by written notice to the Event Organizers, except that it shall not expire or terminate as to occurrences while in effect.
