Subject: RE: Cal Race Week
Creeper is not a Santana 3030 if they want to race with us then they should return the boat to class conditions. The boat is to extreme and has a huge rating advantage in light air although they should stink in a breeze. There are plenty of boats that would be more evenly matched to us to invite to narrow band PHRF race, Mike Kirk has already taken a look at them for San Diego's yachting cup. We have a strong fleet that is growing and I don't see any reason to discontinue the fleet racing we have been doing as a class for over 20 years.
once again creeper is not a Santana 3030 it just happens to have the same hull.

Subject: Cal Race Week
Steve:
I would like to race in Cal Race Week in the 30/30 one design class, but
the races should be scored with our PHRF ratings. This way Creeper could
race with us. Steve Caurran is a Staff Commodore at California Yacht Club
and his boat Creeper makes six active racers in Marina del Rey. If the goal
of the 30/30 class is to get more boats to the line, then that is the way to
do it.
Cheers,
Larry
