The JC dimension does not apply since we do not have a bow pole/sprit, but the document says if you do not have a bow sprit JC would EQUAL J.
The IC dimensions from the top of the spinnaker to the sheer line of the deck would apply. I assume this information is to calculate assymetrical spinnaker size? It states it would be slightly longer than I dimension on a masthead rig. I guess you measure the mast to deck at the base of the mast and then from the base of the mast to sheer line on a horizontal plane?
I thought one of you may have already done this so we can be consistent in how we measure.
The measuring page says:
A RATING CERTIFICATE WILL NOT BE ISSUED WITHOUT THESE MEASUREMENTS

Ed,
I haven't looked at the 2002 renewal certificate yet but, I would imagine
the if you do not have a IC or JC then the data would be "N/A". What do
you
think?
The IC would be for fractional boats with masthead spins, so this would not
apply to our boats either.

Has anyone measured the IC and JC for their new PHRF Certificate in So Cal? If so what numbers did you get? The JC is a bow sprit, which we don't have, but:
I have not figured out how to measure the vertical length from the shear line of the deck to the top of the spinnaker masthead sheeve (IC). Seems to me it can only be calculated?
Any information? We have to have this measurement to get a 2002 certificate.
