Ed,
You would have to describe the boat as well as possible to get feedback on price. What is its condition, the sail inventory, the condition of the the engine, does the hull have blisters, what's the condition of the rig, is is a PC, GP or RC model, what condition is the interior in, etc.? Any information would help. The things I would look at first is the condition of the hull, the engine and the rig. I would recommend using a surveyor to evaluate these items, especially if the boat has been neglected. It's a quick assessment on what it will take to get the boat in the shape you want. If you can describe the condition of these items we can probably give you a range to work with.
I hope this helps,

Subject: New Owner?
I'm considering the purchase of a Santana 30/30 in the NY area. It's been badly neglected. Are there any common issues I should be aware of before I make an offer? What is the fair market value of a 1982 30/30? Please feel free to email me with your comments at edicken@computersurgeon.com <mailto:edicken@computersurgeon.com> .
