Re: party vs. class/battle flags

My understanding of the new starting system which will be in use for Ahmanson, is that the class flag goes up with the warning & down with the actual start. The familar yellow, blue & red shapes are history. This means the RC boat will need one of our class flags whatever that may be. Also, we would probably have to fly the class flag during the race which would eliminate the battle flag idea unless we want two flags.

---> Is anyone in contact with NHYC for Ahmanson?
If so, what are they expecting for class flags for the starts?

I think it is a good idea to have some sort of party like last year during the Championships. It would be a good use of some budget money, imo.

Some sort of cool 30/30 class flag both for the RC boats and our backstays would be great. Definitely a good use for some more budget money.

Regatta organizers will be using the new starting system this summer and will be looking for one-design class flags.
