Ever priced a remotely operated hyd backstay? Too much! I've used those too
on a Capo 30 and Express 37. I much prefer a string system. The Nelson Marek
30 I sailed on a few times had a purchase system with a cleat right under
the main traveller...worked great, there was a shitload of line, but it had
its own bag so it wasn't that bad.
Also, does anyone really crank a FOOT of backstay on and off? I don't think were cycling at the MOST 6 or 7 inches...Hmmm but then I've got nobody to tune against so theres an excellent possiblity that we're completely F'd up...
