Hi,

I've subscribed to the listserver for some time now but have remained = mostly silent since I sail an Olson 30 out of the hudson valley (NY). = The handling advice in the last few posts has been great.=20

I know there has been some discussion about asymetricals in the past but =

I still have some a questions. Since we're the only racing Olson in the =
neighborhood (rumor has it there is a non-racing Olson fairly close by) =
we race PHRF races and have begun to take on longer distance racing. We =
raced the around long island race last year and are going to try it = again this year. We are thinking about getting an asymetrical for the = race. Does anyone have some advice and pro's and con's for the use, and = choce for that matter, of an asymetrical spin?

While we're at it, does anyone have advice about distance racing on an = Olson? We've determined that we were significantly over weighted (and = extra crewman and extra water for everyone). We're even contemplating = trying the race (approx. 2.5 - 3 days) with only 4 people.

Thanks,=20
Bill
