Question?

I like a lot of things about the J35, having never sailed one. But what does it do to justify a 72 rating? To the boat that is the one to beat, I am giving 36 seconds in a J-35. That is a lot. It is a Santana 30/30 GP and very consistent winner, well prepared, and very well sailed.

Just wondering if I might be better off with a more favorably rated boat? Do they sail to there rating?
